  • Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder. It is a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, organisation, hyperactivity and impulsive behaviour.

    Adult ADHD symptoms may include:

    - Impulsiveness

    - Disorganisation

    - Poor time management

    - Excessive activity or restlessness

    - Issues controlling attention on a tasks; either getting too stuck in a task or not being able to sustain attention

    - Forgetting things

    - Talkativeness

  • The assessment process can start with a short conversation and develop into a 3 hour consultation. This can also be online or in-person.

    Most importantly, all assessments are conducted in a relaxed and friendly manner by a qualified clinicians who is experienced in ADHD assessment.

  • Most online appointments can be booked quickly, depending on the service. On average 4-6 weeks from initial enquiry. Please see our service list before making an enquiry.

    In-person appointments will usually take longer to arrange due to the travel time.

  • The cost of an appointment depends on what kind of appointment you are seeking. See our service list for a full range of appointments and prices.

  • Our treatments include ADHD medications, offering therapy and ongoing management support. More information can be seen on our treatments page

  • Possibly, but not necessarily. We consider each assessment individually and are able to offer different treatments, such as psychological therapy. Your doctor will discuss the various options and recommend a solution specifically for you.

  • Yes.

    All the personal information we hold is held electronically on our clinical system, a patient portal called Semble, a system which is advocated and used by Attention to Health and has robust security measures and assurances in place in relation to the way it handles personal confidential information.

    Attention to health is also registered with the ICO.
